Under the motto "Parade of Merry People," East Germany's largest carnival parade will once again take place on the streets of the Lusatian metropolis of Cottbus on February 8, 2026. With over 60 decorated trucks, marching bands, riders and carriages, as well as numerous merrymakers on foot, the approximately 4,000 participants will entertain the 60,000 spectators lining the route. rbb will broadcast live from Cottbus starting at 2:00 PM.
